1. Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses Predixn, signed in or not, and to everything you do here: predictions, duels, community activity, display names, support messages and any request you send to our servers.

It forms part of the Terms and Conditions. Breaking it is breaking them.

2. Treatment of other people

Do not:

  • Harass, threaten, intimidate or stalk another player, here or anywhere else off the back of something that happened here.
  • Post or send content that is hateful towards a person or group because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
  • Post sexual content, graphic violence, or anything involving a child.
  • Publish anyone else’s personal information, including their real name, address, workplace or contact details.
  • Impersonate another player, a member of our team, a football club, a competition, a journalist or any organisation — in a display name, a message or anywhere else.

3. Fair play and the integrity of the game

A rating only means something if it was earned. Do not:

  • Hold more than one account, or use someone else’s account.
  • Coordinate accounts to feed results into a duel, a rivalry or a leaderboard position.
  • Use a script, bot, macro or automated client to make predictions, claim rewards or generate activity.
  • Exploit a defect in grading, rewards, tokens or achievements instead of reporting it. If you find one, tell us — that route exists and we would rather hear from you.
  • Manipulate advertising rewards, including automating views, faking completion or repeatedly claiming a reward you did not earn.
  • Sell, buy, transfer or advertise Predixn accounts, tokens, ratings or achievements.
  • Commit fraud or deceive anyone through Predixn — false claims about who you are, fabricated reports, or obtaining anything from us or another player by deception.

4. Automation, scraping and access

Predixn is a product to be used, not a data source to be harvested. Do not:

  • Scrape, crawl, index or bulk-collect content, profiles, fixtures or results from the product or its API.
  • Access our API other than through the application, or reverse engineer it in order to build a competing or derivative service.
  • Circumvent rate limits, whether by rotating addresses, distributing requests or any other means.
  • Redistribute the sports information shown here. It comes from a third-party provider under a licence that does not extend to you.

5. Spam and unsolicited content

Do not:

  • Send unsolicited promotional content through any Predixn surface, including the contact forms.
  • Use a display name, message or profile as advertising space.
  • Post links to malware, phishing pages, or sites that pretend to be Predixn.
  • Submit the same message repeatedly through the contact forms in order to flood the queue.

6. Attacks on the service

Testing our security is welcome through the disclosure route, and only through it. Do not:

  • Attempt to access an account, ticket, record or administrative function that is not yours.
  • Probe for or exploit vulnerabilities outside the terms of our security reporting page.
  • Run denial-of-service, load or stress testing against our infrastructure.
  • Interfere with our sports data provider, our hosting provider or our email relay in connection with Predixn.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, or attempt to inject content into our logs, emails or administrative console.

7. Unlawful use

Do not use Predixn to break the law, to facilitate someone else breaking it, to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, or to do anything that would expose us or other players to liability. Do not use Predixn if participation in prediction games is unlawful where you are.

8. What we do about breaches

We can remove content, reset a rating or a token balance obtained improperly, restrict what an account can do, suspend it, or close it. We can also decline to reinstate an account we have closed.

We aim to be proportionate, and for a first, minor or ambiguous breach we would rather ask you about it than act silently. Serious breaches — attacks on the service, targeting another person, coordinated manipulation — are acted on immediately.

Where we are legally required to report something, we will.

If you think we got it wrong, use the account contact route and say so. A person reads it.
